Rush Township
Rush Township is almost 24 square miles of farmland, hills, villages, residential developments, commercial property, and light industries in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. Of that, 22.8 square miles is land, and 1.0 square mile (about 4.25 percent) is water.
Rush Township is governed by three part-time supervisors. The greatest responsibility of the supervisors lies in their legislative activities, which include enacting ordinances, establishing policy and levels of service, adopting the budget, setting service fees, and appropriating money to fund the township’s programs and services.
The supervisors are elected at large by popular vote. Township elections are held in odd-number years (e.g. 2013, 2015 or 2017).
