Minutes of the Meeting of the Rush Township Board of Supervisors
A meeting was held at the Rush Township Municipal Building on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. In attendance were: Chairman Shawn Gilbert, Vice Chairman Robert Leibensperger, Supervisor Jeaninne Motroni, Treasurer/Secretary Debbie DelFranco, Administrative Assistant Kelly Chicarelli, Solicitor Chris Riedlinger and Bill McMullen.
Chairman Shawn Gilbert called the meeting to order.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Police Report – A motion was made by Chairman Gilbert to approve the police report for the month of February 2018. Vice Chairman Leibensperger approved; Supervisor Motroni seconded the motion. Debbie DelFranco polled the board. All members voted in favor of the motion, motion carried.
Minutes of Previous Meeting- A motion was made to approve the previous meeting minutes of February 22, 2018. Vice Chairman Leibensperger approved; Supervisor Motroni seconded the motion. Debbie DelFranco polled the board. All members voted in favor of the motion, motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report – A motion was made by Chairman Gilbert to approve the treasurer’s report as of February 2018. Vice Chairman Leibensperger approved; Supervisor Motroni seconded the motion. Debbie DelFranco polled the board. All members voted in favor of the motion, motion carried.
Approval of current township and sewer bills thru March 14, 2018 – A motion was made by Chairman Gilbert to approve the municipal reports thru March 14, 2018. Vice Chairman Leibensperger approved; Supervisor Motroni seconded the motion. Debbie DelFranco polled the board. All members voted in favor of the motion, motion carried.
Approval of municipal reports (sewer, road, Arro, Prodesign) – A motion was made by Chairman Gilbert to approve the municipal reports for February 2018. Vice Chairman Leibensperger approved; Supervisor Motroni seconded the motion. Debbie DelFranco polled the board. All members voted in favor of the motion, motion carried.

- Motion to grant the requested waivers of Sections 404.A.2., 502.D.11 and 502.D.12 for the Tamaqua Associates, LP Final Plan – Revision #3 of 12/2017 as recommended by the Rush Township Planning Commission. Vice Chairman Leibensperger approved; Supervisor Motroni seconded the motion. Debbie DelFranco polled the board. All members voted in favor of the motion, motion carried.
- Motion to grant conditional approval of the Tamaqua Associates, LP Final Plan – Revision #3 of 12/2017 as recommended by the Planning Commission. Condition of plan approval are satisfying ARRO review comments contained in the February 21, 2018 review correspondence. Vice Chairman Leibensperger approved; Supervisor Motroni seconded the motion. Debbie DelFranco polled the board. All members voted in favor of the motion, motion carried.
- Motion to accept the 90 day time extension as provided by the developer for Gellner & Co. Land Development. Vice Chairman Leibensperger approved; Supervisor Motroni seconded the motion. Debbie DelFranco polled the board. All members voted in favor of the motion, motion carried.
- Motion to approve sale of 1 Messerschmidt Street by Schuylkill County Tax Claim Bureau in the amount of $1,159.00. Vice Chairman Leibensperger approved; Supervisor Motroni seconded the motion. Debbie DelFranco polled the board. All members voted in favor of the motion, motion carried.
Public Comment –
Dave Ceci- Inquired about property on corner of 54 and 309; is there anything going on there as it was sold. Bill McMullen said that yes it was purchased, but no permits have been applied for or issued for anything yet.
Supervisors Comment – Rush Township will be closed on Friday, March 30, 2018 for Good Friday. HAPPY EASTER!
Chairman Shawn Gilbert adjourned the meeting at 7:30 p.m.
