Minutes of the Meeting of the Rush Township Board of Supervisors
A meeting was held at the Rush Township Municipal Building on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. In attendance were: Chairman Shawn Gilbert, Vice Chairman Robert Leibensperger, Treasurer/Secretary Debbie DelFranco, Solicitor Chris Riedlinger and Bill McMullen. Supervisor Jeaninne Motroni was not present due to a doctor’s appointment.
Chairman Shawn Gilbert called the meeting to order.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Police Report – A motion was made by Chairman Gilbert to approve the police report for the month of April 2018. Vice Chairman Leibensperger approved; Chairman Gilbert seconded. Debbie DelFranco polled the board. All members voted in favor of the motion, motion carried.
Minutes of Previous Meeting- A motion was made to approve the previous meeting minutes of April 19, 2018. Vice Chairman Leibensperger approved; Chairman Gilbert seconded. Debbie DelFranco polled the board. All members voted in favor of the motion, motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report – A motion was made by Chairman Gilbert to approve the treasurer’s report as of April 2018. Vice Chairman Leibensperger approved; Chairman Gilbert seconded. Debbie DelFranco polled the board. All members voted in favor of the motion, motion carried.
Approval of current township and sewer bills thru May 16, 2018 – A motion was made by Chairman Gilbert to approve the municipal reports thru May 16, 2018. Vice Chairman Leibensperger approved; Chairman Gilbert seconded. Debbie DelFranco polled the board. All members voted in favor of the motion, motion carried.
Approval of municipal reports (sewer, road, Arro, Prodesign) – A motion was made by Chairman Gilbert to approve the municipal reports for April 2018. Vice Chairman Leibensperger approved; Chairman Gilbert seconded. Debbie DelFranco polled the board. All members voted in favor of the motion, motion carried.
Attorney’s Business – Attorney Riedlinger made a motion to have the road bids opened by Debbie DelFranco on June 11, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. and then the bids will be read at the June 21, 2018 meeting. Vice Chairman Leibensperger approved; Chairman Gilbert seconded. Debbie DelFranco polled the board. All members voted in favor of the motion, motion carried.

- Motion to grant waivers from the Rush Township Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance sections 405.a., 406.A., 502.A. and 608.D.2 as recommended by the Rush Township Planning Commission for the Gellner & Company Land Development Plan. Vice Chairman Leibensperger approved; Chairman Gilbert seconded. Debbie DelFranco polled the board. All members voted in favor of the motion, motion carried.
- Motion to conditionally approve the Gellner & Company Land Development Plan condition on addressing comments contained in the ARRO review correspondence dated April 27, 2018. Vice Chairman Leibensperger approved; Chairman Gilbert seconded. Debbie DelFranco polled the board. All members voted in favor of the motion, motion carried.
- Motion to approve the Krause Subdivision Component 1 Sewage Facilities Planning module. Vice Chairman Leibensperger approved; Chairman Gilbert seconded. Debbie DelFranco polled the board. All members voted in favor of the motion, motion carried.
- Motion to remove the Times News and approve Standard Speaker as the Township Newspaper. Vice Chairman Leibensperger approved; Chairman Gilbert seconded. Debbie DelFranco polled the board. All members voted in favor of the motion, motion carried.
Public Comment –
Charlie Shamonsky – Asked when the pile of cinders would be cleaned up on the corner of Mariner and Meadow.
Supervisors Comment –
The Rush Township Offices will be closed on Monday, May 28, 2018 for Memorial Day.
Chairman Shawn Gilbert adjourned the meeting at 7:15 p.m.
